Home sales up 7pc in Q1

A new report from Spain’s Property Registrars suggests that transactions – the lifeblood of the property market – are bottoming out, though it is still too early to declare a recovery under way.

The number of property deeds of sale inscribed in the property registry rose by 7% in Q1 compared to same period last year, according to the latest report from Spain’s College of Property Registrars. This is the first time in several years that annualised sales have risen in a quarter.

We hope the 3 minute track to the house never will be tarmaced: a guarantee things never will change here. The track ends at this house and that is always a very tranquil thought.

This house will be easy to decorate to your own taste. But we do like the atmosphere in this house as it is. Just little things need to be done. The bathroom made us think we were looking at something good from the past. The house is nine years old though. A utility room can be changed into another en suite bathroom if you want.

From here the drive to the city centre of Malaga will take only 25 minutes for any moderate driver. Beaches, the airport, Cordoba, Seville or Granada: they can all be reached from here. Colmenar is called the Capital of the Montes de Málaga and here you can buy many local products, ranging from wine to cheese and preserved sausages. Once you have driven the old road from Colmenar to the city of Málaga, you will be sold to the area and Colmenar.

The village of Colmenar and all amenities are just a 3 minute drive from the house. But there is more, because the people of Colmenar are very open and very open-minded towards foreigners. Without any doubt you will feel very quickly that they do know you and that they have reserved a place for you in their bar or restaurant or perhaps even in their hearts.
