Reference: 113 - 300 years old cortijo with 360º view, B&B possible
The famous Málaga wine was once produced in this cortijo, or farmstead. The equipment used is still there and although the place definitely needs some good work, you can already feel that this house breathes nostalgia and history. It is like a museum, and not just because of the wine-producing equipment.
This cortijo has also plenty of well-preserved Andalucian features. Some walls you might want to get rid of, others will stay put since you wouldn't want to destroy the atmosphere, but we think that you can create at least a dozen bedrooms here. The views are very nice and reach as far as the El Torcal natural park at one side and right into the Montes de Málaga natural park at another.
This cortijo has commercial possibilities of which we would like to mention a Bed & Breakfast. Doing the place up would definitely require an investment, but this cortijo deserves to be preserved. An exquisite project. Extra land is available for those who would like to have some horses.
The drive towards the motorway or to Málaga is easy. One neighbouring house you maybe would have liked not being there, some 75 metres from the cortijo, but by building the right entrance, like a typical Andalucian white stonewall with big wooden doors in it, you'll certainly be able to find the right compromise.
