Datiles rellenos

  • 60 gr chorizo
  • 3 thin slices bacon
  • 12 big dates, stoned
  • toothpicks

Cut the chorizo in twelve slice, each 1 or 2 centimetre thick and about as long as the dates. Cut he slices of bacon in four parts of equal size. Fill each of the dates with a slice of chorizo and wrap a slice of bacon around it. Keep together with a toothpick if necessary. Put the dates in a pre-heated, cast iron frying pan with the gaps in the bacon facing down. Fry for a few minutes until the bacon starts turning brown, then turn carefully and fry the other side. Serve hot.
