This is quite an unusual village house from the same team of architects and builders as the ones in the housing estate Chorropinos. This spacious villa however is truly one of a kind. Set in the corner of an ample plot, leaving lots of space for lounging around your private pool (8 x 5 metres) and then there will still be room for a beautiful mediterranean garden. The whole plot is securely fenced in.
The house consists of four floors. The basement houses a garage with double doors and a separate swimming pool machinery room. A flight of stairs takes you to the ground floor, where you will find the kitchen and the living room with its large sliding glass doors to the terrace and garden. On the first floor are three bedrooms, one of which has a very high ceiling with enough room to put in a mezzanine floor, and one bathroom and a terrace. On the top floor, there is another bedroom with a second bathroom and a small terrace.
The views from all the rooms are stunning. From here you overlook the old part of the village of Colmenar, with its traditional church and, right on top of the hill, the hermitage of La Santísima Virgen de la Candelaria, built in the 17th century. To the north, you can see the last range of the Montes de Malaga, sheltering the village from cold north winds. To the east your views reach as far as the Sierra de Tejeda and even the Sierra Nevada, both with snow-covered peaks in winter.
Colmenar provides most things you'll need, from supermarkets and butchers to bars and restaurants, from schools to medical care, and from banks to internetcafés. This is rural Andalucia at its best. Yet the city of Málaga, the hustle and bustle of the Costa del Sol and the international airport are all just a half an hour's drive away.
