With the new chairlift to replace the Montebajo lift, overall skier carrying capacity is increased to 31,965 passen-gers per hour, made possible by a total of 22 lifts. Four of these provide direct access to the ski area, the Al-An-dalus and Borreguiles gon-dolas, and the Genil and Jara chairlifts. Ski lifts are open to the public from 9.00 - 16.30 daily, however, weather conditions may affect lift schedules. Lifts are also open Friday and Saturday evenings for floodlit night time skiing.

Trevenque Sport Club

The Trevenque Sport Club is a fantastic facility of 3,000 m2. The club enjoys a perfect location in the centre of the resort village, near to hotels, parking and shops. The club's five floors include a 130 person capacity conference room with simultaneous translation equipment and full range of audio-visual equipment, recreation hall, meeting rooms, work rooms, Gymnasium with workout programmes, aerobics, weight training and state-of-the-art equipment, multi-purpose gym for practicing indoor sports, massage rooms, saunas, Turkish baths, Jacuzzi, indoor/outdoor swimming pool and solarium. The centre has been specially designed for business meetings, conferences, lectures as well as sports or recreational activities and social events. The facility also offers areas for the use of families and individuals.

Snow-making system

Solynieve's snow-making system has been expanded with a new installation in the upper part of the El-Zorro run guaranteeing a magnificent slope for the new Veleta chairlift built a few years ago, as well as perfect snow coverage on the training courses used in the World Championships. In addition, the number of guns used in snow-making has practically doubled with 92 new high pressure cannons noted for their low consumption of energy and air, and high snow producing capacity has been added to the system. Solynieve now has 13 low pressure cannons and 187 high pressure units.

Other activities

Throughout the winter season Solynieve will be offering the visitor a number of different activities including table tennis, hang-gliding, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, rollerblading, scuba diving classes, ski/golf packages, adventure skiing etcetera.

High Performance Athletic Training Centre

The High Performance Athlete Training Centre, located at 2,320 meters above sea level, has been specially designed for the high altitude training of athletes of all disciplines. The centre, whose location is both ideal and remarkable for testing the limits of the human body, has the latest state-of-the-art equipment which it provides for athletic federations and clubs as well as individual athletes for a perfect training programme. High altitude training has been scientifically proven to provide physiological and constitutional benefits to athletes. The centre is also available to the resort's visitors, skiers and other athletes during special times, according to the centre's regular athletic training programme.
